On the 4th May 2018, hundreds of exhibitors descended on the Excel centre in London to showcase all things home and design at the annual event Grand Designs Live.
The exhibition, which has been running since 2008, aims to present various companies involved in the renovation of your home to the public and sets to inspire, reflecting the format of the popular TV show Grand Designs.
The Event
Beginning in 2008 at the Birmingham NEC, the event has grown in popularity rapidly through the years, attracting visitors in their hundreds of thousands.
The event is conducted by the television show’s familiar presenter Kevin McCloud, who is on hand across the nine days to advise, promote and encourage all businesses small and large.
This year, here at Roccia we were terribly excited to join in on the fun, and what a brilliant time had by all!
We asked teammate Daniel for some of the highlights.
What was your personal highlight?Â
The number of positive comments received about our range, the quality of our display and also of our approach. We had some unique products and people were blown away by some of the tiles we had on show, which was great to see.
Why do you think it is important for companies like yourselves to regularly attend events such as this?
Exhibiting at the Grand Designs Live is a great way to show off everything we can do! It is a great opportunity to meet new clients and build on existing relationships.
Aside from all of the new clients we had a chance to meet, it helped us see how unique we really can be. A lot of our competitors have a much smaller range of products, wherein comparison we have such a comprehensive range filled with very different designs, which fills us with enthusiasm as we can see how creative we can be in comparison to others.
What were the main questions people asked you?
We got asked lots of different questions about the different products we had on display; requests for brochures, samples and pricing were the main points. We also had lots of interest in the Gessi products we had on the stand and had many conversations about our bathroom range and newly opening kitchen department.
What were the other stands at the event like?
There were lots to see! It’s a great place for ideas and inspiration, and also to meet new people to work with if you’re doing any home renovation work.
